The Morgenstadt project started last Monday with the first city excursion. A team of Fraunhofer researchers will investigate best practice examples in different cities around the world to solve the urgent challenges for a sustainable and CO2 efficient future city.
Since I have been preparing for the New York City excursion, I found a documentary on ARTE (a German-French TV station) about how New York might look like in a few years. The online documentary New York 3.0 presents New York as a laboratory for a new urbanism and alternative lifestyles through twelve topics. The following video, New York Tomorrow, presents a summary of the transformation process that New York has been experiencing over the last few years. It especially shows the creative dynamic that is brought into the city by all the creative and innovative young people. It is incredibly interesting to see all the things that are going on in New York.
