Inequality and New York’s Subway

As most of us know, New York has a big income gap. We can see the unequal income levels when we travel between the different neighborhoods. If one is an observent traveler on the subway, one can see the different income levels through the station quality and the passengers. The New Yorker has published an interactive infographic based on NYC OpenData and the U.S. Census Bureau data. The graph visualizes the income shifts along individual subway lines.
